Preservation projects that promote public enjoyment of Vermont’s architectural heritage are eligible to apply for grant funding. A building must be owned by a municipality or a non-profit organization and must be listed on or eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places in order to qualify for funding. Approximately fifteen matching grants ranging from $1,000 to $15,000 will be awarded.
The Vermont Advisory Council on Historic Preservation will review all of the applications and select the grant recipients in December 2008. All applicants will receive written notification of the results by January 2009.
Please read the entire Grant Manual before completing the application. Please also pay special attention to the photograph requirements, and allow time in your schedule for photo processing. If you have any questions that are not covered in the Grant Manual, please call 802-828-3043 for assistance. We look forward to receiving your application.
Sincerely,
